Each year THE COLLECTIONS gives two designers the chance to showcase their design to an international audience. The Toronto based designer management firm selected Sam Kong and Rani Kim to show their collections at World MasterCard Fashion Week.
RANK BY RANI appropriates utilitarian design with a minimalist look. Rani Kim is the mastermind behind the collection. The Ryerson Fashion Design graduate opened her show with dancers and it was clear that her clothes are not only beautiful, but functional as well.
Som Kong’s collection featured America’s Next Top Model hopeful Chantelle Brown-Young. Apprenticing at Danier and Greta Constantine, this Ryerson University Fashion Design graduate has already accomplished so much. The Toronto-based womenswear and menswear designer is the TFI winner for Fashionista Den (2014); the winner of the International Passion for Fashion Competition (2013); and the 1st runner up for the Danier Design Competition.
