A Florida mother found a YouTube video that gives children instructions on how to kill themselves.
Free Hess said she found a cartoon on YouTube Kids where a man showed youngsters how to slit their wrists. Motioning with his hand on his wrist, he shows the viewer how to slit their wrists to ‘get results’.
The mother campaigned to have the clip removed but found this month that it had resurfaced on the site, hidden in the middle of a cartoon. The video was still on YouTube despite people flagging the harmful content, she said.
YouTube kids is described by the Google-owned site as a ‘family friendly’ version of YouTube.
