No one in President Donald Trump’s administration is safe from someone on Saturday Night Live from making fun of them. The latest target? White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
Melissa McCarthy made a surprise appearance on NBC’s SNL to poke fun at Spicer’s combative tone with the media.
And the impersonation was spot on.
“I know that myself and the press have gotten off to a rocky start. I’d like to begin today by apologizing on behalf of you to me for how you have treated me these last two weeks. And that apology is not accepted.”
McCarthy did a hilarious exchange between Spicer and journalists over the use of the word “ban” to describe President Donald Trump’s immigration executive order. The order prevented immigration from seven Muslim majority countries.
Spicer said the order was not a “ban”,e even though Trump had used that exact word on Twitter.
“He’s quoting you. It’s your words. He’s using your words when you use the words and he uses them back. It’s circular using of the word, and that’s from you.”
The skit was one of a number in last night’s show that fired shots at the White House now owned by President Donald Trump. Another segment parodied Trump’s interactions with foreign leaders.
Trump has yet to respond to the episode on Twitter.
