The easter bunny must be shaking in his boots. There is a new Queen of dropping Easter eggs all over the place and her name is Lorde.
The pop star who hails from New Zealand released the official music video for her hit single “Perfect Places” today. The song is off her second album, Melodrama. Shortly after the music video’s release, she tweeted, a “couple cute easter eggs in this video let’s see if you spot them.” That got all her fans guessing.
One fan noticed that there was a hard drive in her boat. She actually replied to the tweet saying, “thought it was funny to bring the melo files out in the boat. don’t let them out of ur sight right?”
One fan noticed that she was drinking whiskey in the grotto.
While another found what looks literally like a couple of Easter eggs just hanging out.
Some noticed there were references in the song. Like the lyric, “I’m 19 and on fire.”
“She thinks you love the beach, you’re such a damn liar.”
“Lights are on and they’ve gone home. But who am I? Oh, how fast the evening passes. Cleaning up the champagne glasses”
Her song Swinging Party and the light bulb referencing Yellow Flicker beat.
While some have noted Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi Vibes.”
And what looks to be a scene reminiscent of Ophelia’s drowning in Othello.
