An elementary school librarian rejected Dr. Seuss books donated by Melania Trump calling them “racist propaganda.”
Liz Phipps Soeiro declined the first lady’s gift saying that her library doesn’t need them. The elementary school librarian from Cambridge, Massachusetts said that Dr. Seuss’ illustrations were rooted in “racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes.” She also told the First Lady that “Dr. Seuss is a bit of a cliché.”
FYI this is a picture of her wearing a cat in the hat costume. It was because she was celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
But Michelle Obama, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton all read Dr. Seuss books.
