We were unsure whether Saturday Night Live would address the Bill Cosby allegations. But Michael Che during the weekend update says he is willing to forgive Dr. Cliff Huxtable.
In the wake of the sexual assault allegations, a bunch of networks – TV Land included – pulled reruns of The Bill Cosby Show. “I don’t know how to feel about that because, I don’t know Bill Cosby but Cliff Huxtable practically raised me. I love that dude.”
“I mean, I know it’s not the same thing, but I forgave Kramer.” If you remember, Kramer used the n-word during one of his stand up comedy routines.
It is alleged that Cosby used drugs on women to incapacitate and sexually abuse them. “The only thing he ever tried to sneak when people were asleep was a hoagie,” Che said to a less than thrilled audience.
A few days before the show, the Weekend Update co-anchor tweeted:
“sooo we cant have the cosby show no more, but columbus day & thanksgiving is still cool?”
“maybe i shouldnt say this cause im sure none of u can relate. but i heard about this cosby thing years ago. & i still watched the cosby show”
